The biggest issue I have with threads regarding Orochimaru is that we've never seen him going all trasnochado without some sort of handicap. He was toying with the third to torment him, lost his jutsu and was essentially dying the first time we saw the deadlock, and when he fought a rampaging Naruto, his body was expiring, he still didn't have his jutsu, and he was merely there to test Naruto's strength.
i dont normally like scaling with naruto, but Gai does admit to kakashi being an even match for him and for him being above sasuke still, and sasuke being able to attack and combat Gaara easily pre-tailed beast state that is.
